Datalogic Skorpio X3 Mobile Handheld Terminal and barcode scanner Description

Equipped with the largest high-visibility color graphic display (3.2 in) with touch screen in its class, the Skorpio™ X3 mobile computer helps users work more efficiently.  Three different keyboards (the 50-key alphanumeric keypad, the 38-key functional keypad and the 28-key numeric keypad) allow data to be input very quickly.  Operating systems include your choice of the standard Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 or Windows CE 6.0.

This rugged mobile computer is particularly suitable for mobile commerce solutions in the retail environment both on store shelves and in stock rooms.  With the best ergonomics on the market, the Skorpio X3 mobile computer reduces operator fatigue with no compromise in terms of reliability and robustness, resisting harsh environments, multiple drops, strong shocks and repetitive tumbles. The pistol grip model has the most durable and comfortable handle in the industry. Its compact size and light weight combine to offer excellent balance and superior handling.

The Skorpio X3 mobile computer’s wireless communication capabilities (Bluetooth® EDR,  IEEE 802.11 a/b/g) enable fast transactions and complete interaction with information systems including the newest RF security protocols such as WPA™ and WPA2™. PAL APPLICATIONS

SHELF INVENTORY
The Shelf Inventory application is used to track inventory information. Shelf Inventory provides a choice of up to four fields and prompts. The name, order and content of these prompts can be customized using the Pal Settings. The default settings have three fields enabled: Location, Item and Quantity. Location: This field helps distinguish where the data was collected. If inventory data is being taken at multiple stores, each store should be given a unique identifier or name. Item: This is a text field. An entry can be made by entering text directly or by scanning a bar code.
Quantity: This is a numeric field and requires a number entry.
ASSET TRACKING
This application is used to track assets (furniture, phones, computers, electronic equipment, etc.) at various locations (departments, rooms, floors, buildings, etc.). This application allows the user
to enter an identification code for a specific location, collect all asset ID’s at that location, and then enter another identification code for assets at a different location. A user can use up to four prompts for this program and can include additional data associated with each asset.

SHELF REPLENISHMENT
This application has four pre-defined fields: Store, Shelf ID, Item and Quantity. The
application loops on the ‘item’ field so that multiple items can be scanned or entered for one location. Most of the functions of Shelf Replenishment work exactly like the functions in Shelf Inventory.

ORDER ENTRY
The Order Entry application has been configured to compile basic ordering information including: Site, Order ID, SKU and Quantity. Many of the functions of Order Entry work exactly like those functions in Shelf Inventory.
